the story

Djinane AlSuwayeh is a Kuwaiti-French Creative Director, award-winning Photographer, and trauma-trained Somatic Movement Therapist weaving the worlds of visual arts, somatic healing, and embodied education. Her journey has been one of transformation—moving from capturing external narratives through the lens of fashion and fine arts to guiding individuals into deeper self-connection through movement, visual imagery, and body-based therapies.

With an extensive background in visual arts and communication, she holds a European Master in professional photography from SPEOS International Photography School, a BFA in communication design from PARSONS School of Art and Design, and a European Bachelor in art direction from PENNINGHEN. Over a decade in the creative industry saw her shaping brand identities, leading high-profile campaigns, being published in VOGUE Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and L’Officiel. She has worked with clients such as CHANEL, Gucci, and DIOR, as well as photographing celebrities such as GIGI HADID, Elie Saab, ALBER ELBAZ, Paul Andrew and HUDA KATTAN to name a few. Her work has been exhibited in the Los Angeles County Museum and in the INSTITUT DU MONDE ARABE as well as auctioned by Pierre Bergé & Associés in Paris.

Parallel to this, her deep fascination with the body, trauma, and resilience led her into the world of somatic healing. Now a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), certified Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200, RYT 500), and Somatic Movement Therapist & Educator (RSMT/E), she has trained in Hanna Somatics, Body-Mind Centering®, Somatic Stress Release™, Integrative Somatic Parts Work, and Polyvagal Theory with leading teachers such as Dr. Peter Levine, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Deb Dana, Eleanor Criswell and Dr. Arielle Schwartz. Her work bridges somatic psychology, movement, and trauma recovery, supporting individuals in shifting from habit to choice, from dysregulation to embodied resilience.

Her latest venture, Sunshine Cercle, is a sanctuary for somatic exploration—born from her own healing journey and inspired by her "Therapy Thursdays," where she held space for colleagues seeking refuge from the high-pressure fashion world. Through experiential movement, nervous system attunement, and embodied presence, she invites others to unfold and reclaim their aliveness.
